Designed for horse mackerel and rockfish fishing in Japan, the SV 51 H combined with a small, tapered soft lure allows for a very erratic action, triggering reflexive strikes from fast fish. This approach, called winding or darting, involves animating the lure with small, sharp, successive rod tip movements to create unpredictable lateral darting and trigger an aggressive response. This animation is particularly effective for targeting less active fish that need to be provoked to leverage their aggression. An eyelet placed under the jig head allows for the addition of a blade or treble hook to the rig.
