Aldebaran BFS

The Shimano Aldebaran BFS casting reel is designed for ultra-finesse fishing and the use of very light lures. A true benchmark in the Bait Finesse System domain, it allows lures weighing as little as approximately 1g to be cast, offering a very effective alternative to small spinning reels.

Designed for technical trout and perch fishing, or for any finesse approach, it stands out with its high sensitivity and remarkable casting ease. Light lures are cast with very little effort, and a simple adjustment of the brake dial allows the reel to be quickly adapted to fishing conditions or the weight of the lure used.

Its performance is based notably on the FTB (Finesse Tune Braking) system, which combines magnets and centrifugal braking to precisely control spool rotation. This technology works in harmony with the ultra-light MGL III spool, S3D design, and SilentTune system to deliver smooth, precise, and perfectly controlled casts.

The reel also integrates MicroModule Gear and X-Ship technologies to ensure smooth and efficient retrieval. Its Hagane body, combining magnesium and CI4+ materials, significantly reduces weight while maintaining rigidity and strength.

Available in fast ratios 7.8:1 and 8.9:1, the Shimano Aldebaran BFS offers dynamic retrieval and features the Exciting Drag Sound system, which enhances the sensation during fights.
