Made of high-density polyurethane foam, the Notobug is a very pleasant insect imitation to use when targeting Chub, Trout, or Bass, all three particularly fond of these kinds of critters!

The 22F version can be easily used with a fly rod, for both sizes in general, an UL rod is recommended to make long, accurate casts.

Animated with small twitches of the rod tip, you can make the silicone filament legs of the Notobug vibrate to give it the appearance of an insect that has fallen into the water and is struggling to survive. Another very good retrieval technique is possible by retrieving the Notobug with a stop & go action, which makes it dive and undulate under the surface film. During pauses, it rises to the surface as if to breathe... that's often when it gets gulped down!

Finally, the ultimate technique to fool the most wary fish: leave it inert on the surface near vegetation overhangs or weed beds and do nothing at all!
