The DRAG SPIN is a slow-sinking pencil bait equipped with a blade, capable of fishing in very shallow water. It is perfect for targeting fish hidden in vegetation in extremely shallow areas (pond tails, dense weed beds, etc.). It sinks slowly and horizontally, allowing enough time after hitting the water to retrieve it without it quickly nose-diving into the weeds. It is used with a continuous retrieve and swims well at all speeds. Of course, you can punctuate your retrieve with pauses to trigger an attack. Keep a firm grip on the rod during these pauses! It has two attachment rings. The one near the mouth allows it to be worked and kept in very shallow water and/or at very low speeds; or, conversely, to perform ultra-fast retrieves. The front ring allows the lure to maintain the water column in which you are working it for longer. This position is ideal for slow, deeper, open-water fishing, where you can make it swim at the desired depth by attaching a clip-on weight (Gunki Clip Weight) to its belly (near the first treble hook). But the biggest advantage of this two-ring design is being able to change this lure's "shallow" mode into a model suitable for deep explorations (fish on breaks, near the bottom...etc.). To do this, simply attach a clip-on weight to the mouth ring and tie your line to the front ring. It will then distinctly flip during slack phases and transform into a perfect reaction lure for jigging, just as you would with your bladed shads. The difference is that you can adjust the descent speed of your lure (depending on the weight of the clipped-on sinker) and it will be much more resistant to the many catches you'll make with it! A versatile lure par excellence. Adaptable to pike positioning according to seasons and locations.
