Description
The copolymer nylon Shock Leader is used for making fishing leaders for sea fishing. It combines flexibility and elasticity to reduce shocks and extreme tension during violent strikes. Specifically designed for sport sea fishing, the Shock Leader is transparent to avoid alarming predators in clear and bright conditions. For bluefin tuna fishing with small lures (25 to 60 grams), 80 and 100 lb breaking strengths will be suitable and allow for good casting distances while providing sufficient strength. For exotic fishing, when casting poppers and stickbaits for trevally, red snapper, tarpon, etc., larger diameters will be needed, ranging from 130 to 170 lb. For jigging in the tropics, 100 to 130 lb sizes are standard.
