The Fat Ika is at the crossroads between a tube and a soft stickbait. It's a formidable soft lure, very often used by bass anglers, but recently discovered by more experimental zander or pike fishermen.

Rigged weightless Texas-style on a strong 4/0 hook, you'll skip it effortlessly under obstacles. Then control its descent, as many bites occur at that moment, and follow up with twitches to achieve a formidable underwater walking-the-dog action.

The Fat Ika weighs nearly 14 g, casts easily, and sinks very quickly. More classically, rigged with a bullet weight, flip it into the heart of cover or hop the Fat Ika along the bottom – it's deadly!

Here's a tip: try rigging the Fat Ika upside down! That means starting by hooking it through the middle of the skirt of filaments. The goal is to give it better hydrodynamics when it sinks and allow it to go straight to the area of the spot where big bass like to ambush.

On the retrieve, the skirt acts as a parachute and slows down the retrieval, allowing your lure to stay longer in the "strike zone"... the attack zone!
